WP Selective Exporter lets you export and import selected posts and/or pages (any of them, all of them, or any selection in-between).  To either the same or another site.

Thus, unlike the Export tool that comes built-in to WordPress, you have much greater control over what does and does not get exported.

So with WP Selective Exporter you can:-

  • Transfer selected posts and pages between sites much more easily than with (time-consuming) manual copy/paste, and;
  • Backup/restore selected posts and/or pages (eg; a group of posts/pages on a common topic).

Note how a new record is created for each imported post/page (whether imported to the same or a different site).  So the original (or any other) post/page can never be (accidentally) overwritten.  And each imported post/page’s status is set to “Draft” (so that you have a chance to check/correct it, before publishing it).
